South Korea designated six additional specialized vocational high schools as Meister High Schools for advanced industry talent. The schools will receive support for curriculum redesign, practice facilities, teacher training and opening preparation.
Japan Enacts School Education Act Amendment to Allow Textbooks with Digital Components (Japan, June 2026)
Japan formally promulgated an amendment to the School Education Act and related laws that redefines textbooks so they can include digital records, not only printed materials. The main provisions are scheduled to take effect on April 1, 2027.
