Primary One Registration Opens with Reduced Intake Planning (Singapore, June 2026)
Singapore opened the 2026 Primary One Registration Exercise for children entering Primary One in 2027 through the online P1 Registration Portal. The exercise also begins the implementation cycle in which MOE will gradually reduce Primary One intake for the majority of primary schools over the next few years in response to falling cohort sizes.
Temporary School Bus Fuel Surcharge Approved for July and August (Singapore, June 2026)
MOE allowed regular school bus operators to impose a temporary fuel surcharge of up to 20 percent on fares for July and August 2026 because of elevated fuel prices. Students on the MOE Financial Assistance Scheme are protected from higher out-of-pocket school bus costs through additional subsidies.
GCE Year-End Examination Entry Proofs Made Available to Private Candidates (Singapore, June 2026)

Singapore confirmed the inaugural board for the Skills and Workforce Development Agency, a new statutory board established through the merger of SkillsFuture Singapore and Workforce Singapore. The agency begins on 1 July 2026 and brings skills development and workforce support under one organisation.
