Old System vs New System
Unannounced Ofsted nursery visits were fewer, and pre-opening and risk-assessment arrangements were less intensively resourced.
The new funding is intended to triple unannounced visits compared with the year to April 2025 and support faster intervention where safeguarding risks are identified.
