Spain approved a €10 million 2026 territorial cooperation program for wellbeing and protection in schools. The program supports wellbeing coordinators, training and violence-prevention actions during the 2026-2027 execution period.
What Changed?
The resolution established regional allocations and action lines to support wellbeing and protection coordinators, advisory professionals, training for teachers and inspection services, and prevention of bullying, cyberbullying, discrimination, hate incidents, child protection risks and emotional vulnerability.
Old System vs New System
Schools already had wellbeing and protection responsibilities, but the 2026 national funding package for coordinator time, training and support measures had not been formally allocated.
Autonomous communities will manage funds from 1 September 2026 to 31 August 2027 to strengthen wellbeing and protection structures in publicly funded schools.
