Around 300 representatives from politics, science, education and practice discussed how vocational schools should adapt school development, teaching, digital learning concepts and workplace-related skills for the age of AI.
Old System vs New System
The Pact for Vocational Schools already existed as a federal-state cooperation framework, but the second work cycle had not yet produced the new AI- and digitalization-focused recommendations from the Hamburg conference.
The conference outputs will be compiled into concrete recommendations for the Pact for Vocational Schools and then considered by the Pact Council before implementation work continues through the Commission for Vocational Education and Continuing Education.
