What Changed?
Teachers, schools, subject experts and other stakeholders can review and comment on the second draft subject plans for folkeskole subjects and the kindergarten class, while participating schools test the drafts through the development programme.
Old System vs New System
The existing curriculum framework was based on Fælles Mål, which the 2024 Folkeskole Quality Programme agreement decided should be replaced by slimmer and simpler subject plans.
New subject plans are being developed by 21 subject committees and are scheduled to take effect on 1 August 2027, after consultation and school-based testing.
