Denmark created the Ministry of Research, Education and Digitalisation by combining the former Ministry of Higher Education and Science with the Ministry of Digitalisation. Christina Egelund was appointed minister for the combined portfolio.

Denmark Announced a New Departmental Structure for the Ministry of Education (Denmark, June 2026)

The Ministry of Education announced that its departmental structure would be adjusted from 1 July 2026. The change follows the government work programme and a royal resolution transferring the child area to the Ministry of Children, Elderly and Housing.
