MEB school, student, teacher, classroom, and division counts belong to the first week of June 2025 within the 2024/25 school year.
Enrollment-rate denominator
MEB notes that 2024/25 enrollment-rate calculations use Turkish citizens residing in Turkey and exclude foreign nationals and foreign students.
Open education reporting
MEB includes open education students in formal education totals, but teacher and classroom values are not reported for open education in the same table fields.
Higher education separation
CoHE higher education totals include formal, open, and distance registrations. They are a separate source system from MEB school statistics.
Finance year mismatch
OECD finance indicators use 2022 values, while MEB formal school statistics use 2024/25. They should not be merged into one year without a method.
Descriptive use
Enrollment, finance, staffing, and exam figures describe system scale and structure. They are not presented as a ranking or causal measure of education quality.
